rtNet: howto send raw ethernet frames.

Does any one out there know how to send raw Ethernet frames with
RTLinux?

I am building an application that periodically sends ethernet frames
with
data and time information. This data is used by other embedded en
realtime systems to synchronies there clock and more.

I have a suspicion that I might have to use rtnet and rt_socket,
unfortunately rtnet only support UDP frames, this is not compatible with
what I am trying to achieve. Is there any other way to send raw Ethernet
frames? Or is my only option to add raw Ethernet frames supports to
rtnet.
