OK. I have a 750 based system as well. I will try and have a look later
this week.

Well, I have more the impression, that there is something else wrong.
For example. How does it come that you have to do:
ln -s /dev/misc/RTAI_SHM /dev/rtai_shm
How got /dev/misc/RTAI_SHM created. Can I have a look to your .config file.
