Vesuvio Oops when running testsuite/preempt

Hi,

while running the preemption test on the following Debian system:
- gcc 2.95.4
- vesuvio CVS code from tuesday
- kernel 2.4.25 patched with hal13

The machine is a pentium III 600 system.

I got an oops, accurately described (not by me :) at

other (incomplete) info:
- running the same code with kernel 2.4.26 (same compiler, same vesuvio
  code) on another machine also resulted in an oops (which I did not
  compare yet)
- Trying to Compile a 2.6.6 adeos patched kernel on the same machine
  results in compile errors.
