[ANN] RTAI/classic 'compat' skin for RTAI/Fusion

This is to announce that a contribution donated by Nextream S.A.

has been recently merged into the RTAI/fusion tree, namely, 

a basic RTAI/classic skin called 'compat'.

 

So far, this skin brings the 3 types of semaphores, RT-fifos, irq hal,

task control, and timers. Although the user-space library is yet to be 

completed, the kernel-space part has enough support to let basic legacy 

applications run under RTAI/Fusion.

 

Credit for this skin is due to OpenWide & Philippe Gerum for the 

implementation, and miscellaneous patches from us.

 

The skin is available now from the RTAI/Fusion CVS, and will be part

of the next official version. It is released under the terms of 

the GNU General Public License.
