[Rtai] rt_task_init failure

All,
I installed rtai via the linux-image-2.6.24-16-rtai kernel available on the
linuxcnc archive, and was able to run in the tests in /usr/realtime*
However, I then build my own custom version of the very same kernel and now
the rt_task_init() command is returning 0, which is causing everything to
fail...is there any specific kernel configurators that could break this? Or
is there a way to trace the calls and see what is going wrong?
