Well I've sent you a minimal Linux config that works for me SMP wise.
Have you completed and adapted it to your machine?
When you step onto a configuration problem for a specific hardware, I
think that is your problem, you have to play a bit with it. You have
seen that HPET has changed the matter, but there seem to remain
something else. Helping on such items from outside is a bit difficult.
There is the need to have one hands on the machine to play the game.
I'll repeat try building from a simpler .config file, instead of using
the default Linux config.
Just another suggestion disable MSI and make CONFIG_VT related items as
in my .config, then see what happens. Once more: better start with my
.config making it apt for your machine by just adding/changing essential
stuff.
