In the readme document for m68knommu it says the following for configuring
# configure RTAI
make ARCH=m68knommu CROSS_COMPILE=m68k-elf- \
# Now just press <enter> when being asked for the location of the
# Linux source tree and make the configuration look like this:
# [ ] Enable floating point support
# < > SMP scheduler
# <M> UP scheduler
# < > MUP scheduler
# <M> POSIX API support
# --- Select yes to link memory manager into schedulers
# <*> RT memory manager
# <M> Fifos
# < > Real-Time serial driver (rt_com)
# <M> Compile tests
# [*] Compile Examples
# [ ] True Periodic Timer (NEW)
# Save the configuration and exit.
and when i do the following :
make ARCH=m68knommu CROSS_COMPILE=m68k-elf-
it gives me the following :
Preparing scripts: functions, parsing.......done.
*** The RTAI kernel patch has not yet been applied to your kernel!
*** Please do this before continuing...
NOTICE ./setsched [up | mup | smp | smpapic | smp8254 | newlxrt]
NOTICE to set your scheduler of choice, after you have done 'make'.
NOTICE It is compulsory to do it always as now it mates the chosen
NOTICE scheduler to the appropriate user space support,
NOTICE i.e. LXRT/NEWLXRT.
NOTICE If nothing is done you will have the combination of the UP
NOTICE scheduler and LXRT set for you.
and before configuring RTAI ,i applied patch by doing the following :
cat $RTAI_DIR/patches/patch-rthal-2.4.17-uc0-m68knommu | patch -p1
make clean && make
which were sucessful .....
pls let me know what i should do to solve this problem...
