In case you are working with 3.x, strongly suggested, copy the doing in 
showroom examples. More precisely:

cd ......./showroom/v3.x/user
cp -r bitstest mytest
cp .....myexample bitstest.c

Then use vi/make/run/rem there to make it work. When it does, elaborate 
your framework from  the working solution you have.
